Rock Maple Racing XC – West Glover VT

(February 13, 2019) Snowmobile racers from across the Northeast, and neighboring Canada are eagerly tuning up their sleds, ready to suit up and ride out to Young Farms this Saturday, February 16 to put their racing skills to the test. Rock Maple Racing XC is back in town in West Glover Vermont, for their annual cross country snowmobile racing series. Young Farms, located at 165 Bickford Lane, will be the hosting location for this weekends competition along a course that stretches over 5 miles long, and is anything but short of breathtaking scenic views along the way.

Admissions for the race will be S10 per adult, as children aged 10 and under get free entry. Racer registration, check-ins, and pre- tech will be available at the Young Farm location on Friday February 15th, from 2pm – 7:30pm. Gates open to the racers at 6:30am on Saturday morning and to continue check-ins and sign up until 8am sharp when gates open for the public. Drivers are to attend a mandatory practice and drivers meeting at 8:15 am day of race. The Pro Open 600 and the Semi-Pro Improved races are the first on schedule of events, set to start at 9am. Races will continue throughout the day, with the 120’s races tentatively starting at 11:30am.

Rock Maple Racing XC continues to bring the competition and their followers of racers and supporters with several stops in the northeast to bring entertainment with a little of something for everyone to get in on the fun. This weekend’s event will offer over twenty different cross country race classes for all ages and skill levels. There will also be 120 races for the kids, as RMR’s sponsor Philbrick Motorsports has 120’s available to rent for your kids to try to test their speed and agility on the snowy course!

Local Rene Desrochers, of Desrochers Crane services, whom is one of our gracious sponsors for this weekend’s race will also be returning to the race course himself. Desrochers will be competing in the Plus 40 & 50 races this Saturday.

After a long day of high competition and low temperatures, head on over to the Parker Pie Company, located at 161 Country Rd, West Glover for the day’s Award Ceremony at 6:30pm. Come in to congratulate and celebrate the day’s winners over their famous pizza, and revolving beer menu featuring items such as local Vermont brews and some of the best fermented beverages from around the globe.

The Rock Maple Racing XC crew are excited for their return to Vermont this season. Thanks to their local sponsors; Martha’s Diner, Vianor Tire and Auto Services, The Farmyard Store, The Village Bike Shop, and aforementioned Desrochers Crane Services as well as their loyal fans and racers they are able to continue to bring some speed to the snowy courses this winter season. After this weekend’s race they are hoping to be headed back to their home state of New Hampshire, for a cross country race event in Rochester. Current snow conditions will determine the status of this race. In the following weeks they will return to both New York and Maine for races, before the season is through.
